Federal Funds [Federal Elections] Law and Legal Definition
According to 11 CFR 300.2 (g) [Title 11 -- Federal Elections; Chapter I -- Federal Election Commission; Subchapter C -- Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002 -- (BCRA) Regulations; Part 300 -- Non-Federal Funds], the term Federal funds mean “funds that comply with the limitations, prohibitions, and reporting requirements of the Act.”
