According to 40 CFR 600.002-85 [Title 40 Protection Of Environment; Chapter I Environmental Protection Agency; Subchapter Q Energy Policy Part 600 Fuel Economy of Motor Vehicles] Federal Highway Fuel Economy Test Procedure refers to "the dynamometer driving schedule, dynamometer procedure, and sampling and analytical procedures described in Subpart B of this part and which are used to derive highway fuel economy data for gasoline-fueled or diesel vehicles."
