Federal Office [Federal Elections] Law and Legal Definition
According to 11 CFR 100.4 [Title 11 -- Federal Elections; Chapter I -- Federal Election Commission; Subchapter A – General; Part 100 -- Scope and Definitions (2 U.S.C. 431); Subpart A -- General Definitions], the term Federal office means “the office of President or Vice President of the United States, Senator or Representative in, or Delegate or Resident Commissioner to, the Congress of the United States.”
