Federal/State EBT Program Law and Legal Definition
According to 31 CFR 208.2 [Title 31 -- Money and Finance: Treasury; Subtitle B -- Regulations Relating to Money and Finance; Chapter II -- Fiscal Service, Department of the Treasury; Subchapter A -- Financial Management Service Part 208 -- Management of Federal Agency Disbursements], Federal/State EBT program means “any program that provides access to Federal benefit, wage, salary, and retirement payments and to State-administered benefits through a single delivery system and in which Treasury designates a Financial Agent to disburse the Federal payments.”
