Finite-Life REIT(FREIT) Law and Legal Definition
FREIT is a real estate investment trust (REIT) that aims to sell its real estate holdings within a specified time frame so as to realize capital gains on its properties. Its revenue comes mainly from rental income and a FREIT can be traded as if it were a stock. FREITs may be more liquid than conventional REITs because of their definite date of liquidation.
