According to 50 CFR 600.10 [Title 50. Wildlife and Fisheries; Chapter VI. Fishery Conservation And Management, National Oceanic And Atmospheric Administration, Department Of Commerce; Part 600. Magnuson-Stevens Act Provisions; Subpart A – General], ‘trip’ means “the time period that begins when a fishing vessel departs from a dock, berth, beach, seawall, ramp, or port to carry out fishing operations and that terminates with a return to a dock, berth, beach, seawall, ramp, or port.”
