Flight Safety Crew [Aeronautics and Space] Law and Legal Definition
According to 14 CFR 417.3 [Title 14 Aeronautics and Space; Chapter III Commercial Space Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration, Department of Transportation (Parts 400 to 499); Subchapter C Licensing; Part 417 Launch Safety; Subpart A General and License Terms and Conditions], Flight Safety Crew means “the personnel, designated by a launch operator, who operate flight safety system hardware and software to monitor the flight of a launch vehicle and make a flight termination decision.”
