Flood Hazard Boundary Map Law and Legal Definition
Pursuant to 44 CFR 59.1 [Title 44 -- Emergency Management and Assistance Chapter I -- Federal Emergency Management Agency, Department of Homeland Security], the term Flood Hazard Boundary Map means “an official map of a community, issued by the Federal Insurance Administrator, where the boundaries of the flood, mudslide (i.e., mudflow) related erosion areas having special hazards have been designated as Zones A, M, and/or E.”
