Flood Plain or Flood Prone Area Law and Legal Definition
Pursuant to 44 CFR 59.1 [Title 44 -- Emergency Management and Assistance Chapter I -- Federal Emergency Management Agency, Department of Homeland Security], the term flood plain or flood-prone area means “any land area susceptible to being inundated by water from any source.”
