Foreign Limited Liability Company Law and Legal Definition
Pursuant to the Uniform Limited Liability Company Act, "Foreign limited liability company" means an unincorporated entity organized under laws other than the laws of the State which afford limited liability to its owners. Moreover, such a company is not required to obtain a certificate of authority to transact business under any law of the State other than the Uniform Limited Liability Company Act.
