Franchising Authority Law and Legal Definition
Pursuant to 47 USCS § 522 (10), [Title 47. Telegraphs, Telephones, and Radiotelegraphs; Chapter 5. Wire or Radio Communication; Cable Communications; General Provisions] the term franchising authority means “any governmental entity empowered by Federal, State, or local law to grant a franchise.”
