Frank Ferme Law and Legal Definition
Frank ferme is an old kind of socage tenure, changed from knight's service by a new feoffment. It is a freehold tenure for a fixed rent whereof the nature of fee is changed by feoffment out of chivalry for certain yearly services, and in respect whereof neither homage, ward, marriage nor relief can be demanded.
