Furtum Usus is a Latin word meaning ““theft of the use of a thing” used in Roman law. It refers to dishonest use of a thing that is ones possession for a specific purpose. For example, bailee's dishonest use of the thing bailed or lent or a creditor's dishonest use of a pledge without contractual authority.
