Launch Crew [Aeronautics and Space] Law and Legal Definition
According to 14 CFR 417.3 [Title 14 Aeronautics and Space; Chapter III Commercial Space Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration, Department of Transportation (Parts 400 to 499); Subchapter C Licensing; Part 417 Launch Safety; Subpart A General and License Terms and Conditions], Launch Crew means “all personnel who control the countdown and flight of a launch vehicle or who make irrevocable operational decisions that have the potential for impacting public safety. A launch crew includes members of the flight safety crew.”
