Legal Pneumoconiosis Law and Legal Definition
According to 20 CFR 718.201[Title 20. Employees' Benefits; Chapter VI. Office Of Workers' Compensation Programs, Department Of Labor; Subchapter B Federal Coal Mine Health And Safety Act Of 1969, As Amended; Part 718. Standards For Determining Coal Miners' Total Disability Or Death Due To Pneumoconiosis; Subpart C Determining Entitlement To Benefits], "Legal pneumoconiosis" includes any chronic lung disease or impairment and its sequelae arising out of coal mine employment. This definition includes, but is not limited to, any chronic restrictive or obstructive pulmonary disease arising out of coal mine employment.
