Level One Services (Health Care) Law and Legal Definition
Level one service refers to the primary care or preventive care offered by the health care service providers. In level one service, the primary care physician (PCP), who is trained to deal with a broad range of health care problems, helps a patient to determine whether to consult a specialist. Similarly, services relating to prevention of diseases are also offered upon the direction of a doctor or other health care provider. Services that fall under level one service include routine wellness exams, immunizations and vaccination, diagnostic procedures, well baby care, well woman care, and prostate exam.
