Leze Majesty Law and Legal Definition
In French law, leze majesty is the crime of violating majesty. It is the offense against the dignity of a reigning sovereign or against a state; any crime committed against the sovereign power.
In U.S., it is known as treason. It is the offense against the duty of allegiance; levying war against the U.S., or adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort.
