Limited court means a court having special jurisdiction conferred by statute. It includes probate court, justice courts, city courts, and municipal courts. They hear matters such as misdemeanor offenses, civil cases, small claims, landlord/tenant disputes, local ordinances, forcible entry and detainer, protection orders, certain issues involving juveniles, and other matters.
