Limitrophe Law and Legal Definition
Limitrophe means adjacent, bordering or contiguous. It could also mean situated on a border or frontier. For example, the house was situated in the area limitrophe to the river.
The following is an example of a caselaw using the term:
The international boundary between the United States and Mexico in the limitrophe sections of the Rio Grande and the Colorado River shall run along the middle of the channel occupied by normal flow. [United States v. 1.16 Acres of Land, 585 F. Supp. 2d 901, 911 (S.D. Tex)]
