Lingual mark is a word or a phrase which is used as a trademark. Lingual marks are the most widely used kinds of marks. Depending on the meaning of the word or phrase, these marks have more or less legal strength. If the lingual mark is descriptive of the goods or services then there will not be trademark protection. If the mark is not distinctiveness then the mark bears protection under trademark law.
