Linux is an operating system initially designed to provide users with a free alternative to UNIX and Microsoft. This freely-distributable open source operating system runs on a number of hardware platforms. Experienced hackers use Linux as a tool to control all interaction from their machine to the victim machine. Linux also allows hackers to circumvent “security” measures in DOS based systems with relative ease.
