Litis Denuntiatio Law and Legal Definition
Litis denuntiatio is a Latin term. In civil law, the term is used to refer to the process by which the purchaser of a land notifies the land seller and requests the seller’s help in defending a suit for possession of land brought by a third party against the purchaser. The help is sought pursuant to the seller’s warranty of title.
