Locatio Operis is a term used in civil law. The term signifies the hiring of labor and services. It is a contract by which one party agrees to perform certain services for the other. The service is performed for the price agreed between the parties.
There are two kinds of locatio Operis. They are locatio operis faciendi, which is the hire of labor and services. And locatio custodiae, in which goods are received on deposit for a reward.
