Lone Worker [Transportation] Law and Legal Definition
According to 49 CFR 214.7 [Title 49 – Transportation; Subtitle B Other Regulations Relating to Transportation; Chapter II Federal Railroad Administration, Department of Transportation; Part 214 Railroad Workplace Safety; Subpart A – General], lone worker means “an individual roadway worker who is not being afforded on-track safety by another roadway worker, who is not a member of a roadway work group, and who is not engaged in a common task with another roadway worker.”
