Lot Seal Law and Legal Definition
According to 7 CFR 29.35 [Title 7, Agriculture; Subtitle B, Regulations of The Department of Agriculture; Chapter I, Agricultural Marketing Service H1 (Standards, Inspections, Marketing Practices), Department Of Agriculture; Subchapter A, Commodity Standards And Standard Container Regulations; Part 29, Tobacco Inspection; Subpart B, Regulations; Definitions], the term 'Lot seal' means a seal approved by the Director of the Tobacco Division of the Agricultural Marketing Service within the U.S. Department of Agriculture, for sealing lots of tobacco certificated under the Tobacco Inspection Act.
