Lucrative Title Law and Legal Definition
Title acquired to a property through gift, succession, inheritance or the like is lucrative title. [Smith v. Smith, 94 Nev. 249, 251 (Nev. 1978)]]. Lucrative title includes that property acquired by either spouse during the marriage by inheritance. Title to property acquired by lucrative title remains the separate property of the spouse.
