Major Defense Equipment Law and Legal Definition
Pursuant to 22 USCS § 2794 (6) [Title 22. Foreign Relations And Intercourse; Chapter 39. Arms Export Control; General, Administrative, And Miscellaneous Provisions], the term major defense equipment means “any item of significant military equipment on the United States Munitions List having a nonrecurring research and development cost of more than $ 50,000,000 or a total production cost of more than $ 200,000,000.”
