Malware is the short form for malicious software. Malware consists of programming designed to disrupt or deny operation, gather information that leads to loss of privacy or exploitation, gain unauthorized access to system resources, and other abusive behavior. Malware interferes with normal computer functions or sends personal data about the user to unauthorized parties over the Internet. Malware includes computer viruses, worms, Trojan horses, spyware, browser hijackers, and dialers.
