Mapp Hearing Law and Legal Definition
Mapp hearing is a pre-trial hearing conducted to determine whether certain evidence is to be suppressed on the ground that such evidence is obtained as the result of an illegal search and seizure. Map hearing is mainly applied to evidence that is to be introduced at trial. Both, tangible and intangible evidence can be considered in mapp hearing.
