Marine Employer Law and Legal Definition
According to 46 CFR 4.03-45(Title 46 – Shipping; Chapter I - Coast Guard, Department Of Homeland Security; Subchapter A - Procedures Applicable To The Public; Part 4 - Marine Casualties And Investigations; Subpart 4.03 – Definitions), Marine employer means “the owner, managing operator, charterer, agent, master, or person in charge of a vessel other than a recreational vessel.”
