Marine Evacuation System Law and Legal Definition
According to 46 CFR 107.111 [Title 46 – Shipping; Chapter I -- Coast Guard, Department of Homeland Security; Subchapter I-A -- Mobile Offshore Drilling Units; Part 107 -- Inspection and Certification; Subpart A – General], marine evacuation system means “an appliance designed to rapidly transfer large numbers of persons from an embarkation station by means of a passage to a floating platform for subsequent embarkation into associated survival craft, or directly into associated survival craft.”
