Martyrdom Operation Law and Legal Definition
Martyrdom operation means a deliberate suicide bombing in which the attacker view such acts as deliberate acts of self-sacrifice, rather than suicide. In a martyrdom operation the attacker is expected to die in consequence of the military or terrorist attack. Though it is prohibited by Islam, Muslim militant Islamists conduct such operations. Here the attackers believes that after death, suicide bombers attain the rank of a martyr and go immediately to Heaven.
