Mass Tort Law and Legal Definition
A mass tort is a collective tort or an injury to a group of persons. There are two instances of mass torts:
1) one source of injury at one point in time, such as an airline accident, or
2) several victims with several tort-feasors but one common instrumentality such as a defective medicine.
