Match grant refers to the agreement between a government agency and private operation to match donations.
In refugee law, match grant is a public/private partnership agreement between a Voluntary Resettlement Agency and the Department of State under which refugee resettlement costs are shared between government and a community. Match grant program is one that is primarily funded by the U.S. Government through our national affiliates. The goal of the program is to ensure that employable refugee enrollees achieve economic self-sufficiency through full time employment without recourse to public assistance, within four months after their arrival.
