Medically Needy Person Law and Legal Definition
A medically needy person refers to an aged, blind, or disabled person who meets the definition of aged, blind, or disabled and whose income and resources are insufficient to provide for the costs of health care or coverage.
A medically needy person include a child in foster care for whom public agencies are assuming financial responsibility and a child who is eligible to receive Medical benefits pursuant to interstate agreements for adoption assistance and related services and benefits. The term also includes persons who receive in-home supportive and whose income and resources are insufficient to provide for the costs of health care or coverage.
