Medicare cost plans is a type of medicare health plan offered by the health maintenance organization that pays for services outside its service area only if there is an emergency or urgently needed services. Medicare cost plan beneficiaries who receives routine services outside plan's network area without a referral will get their medicare-covered services paid by original medicare, and in such cases the beneficiaries will be responsible for original medicare deductibles and coinsurance.
