A Medicare health plan is a plan that offers a beneficiary with medicare part A and part B benefits. Private companies often contract with Medicare to provide beneficiaries with Medicare part A and part B benefits offered by Medicare. Medicare advantage plans offered by an HMO, PPO, private fee-for-service plan, Medicare cost plan, program of all-inclusive care for the elderly (PACE) plan, and a special needs plan are all examples of medicare health plans.
