Member of a Contract Market Law and Legal Definition
According to 17 CFR 1.3 (Title 17 - Commodity And Securities Exchanges; Chapter I - Commodity Futures Trading Commission; Part 1- General Regulations Under The Commodity Exchange Act; Definitions), member of a contract market means and includes “individuals, associations, partnerships, corporations, and trusts owning or holding membership in, or admitted to membership representation on, a contract market or given members' trading privileges thereon.”
