Mental Injury Law and Legal Definition
An injury to a child's intellectual or psychological capacity is known as mental injury. Pursuant to ORC Ann. 2151.011, mental injury means any behavioral, cognitive, emotional, or mental disorder in a child caused by an act or omission. Usually, mental injury to a child is committed by the parent or other person responsible for the child's care.
