Mexican Americans are U.S. citizens of Mexican ancestry. More than half of total Mexican Americans live in either California or Texas. Mexican American also occupy states such as Arizona, New Mexico, Illinois , Florida, Georgia, Colorado, Nevada, and Washington. Most Mexican Americans are the descendants of the Indigenous peoples of Mexico and Europeans particularly Spaniards. Nowadays Mexican Americans are a vital part of the culture, politics, and economy of U.S. For Mexican Americans, family is more than just parents, sisters and brothers. Their family includes uncles, aunts, cousins, grandparents, godparents and even close friends.
