Military animals are animals that are employed for use in warfare. Domesticated animals such as dogs, pigs, oxen, camels and horses are used for performing functions like transport and bomb detection.
Following is an example of a federal statute defining military animal.
According to 10 USCS § 2583, military animal is defined as a military working dog or horse owned by the Department of Defense of the U.S.
