Model Statutory Construction Act Law and Legal Definition
Model Statutory Construction Act was originally called the Uniform Statutory Construction Act and was drafted by the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws (NCCUSL) in 1965. The name was changed to Model in 1975. This act provides guidelines for drafting and interpreting a state's statutes and administrative rules. This act is now superseded by the Uniform Statute and Rule Construction Act.
