Modification Order Law and Legal Definition
In the context of Family law, a modification order refers to a post-divorce order that changes the terms of child support, custody, visitation, or alimony. The parties can agree to a modification order or it can be ordered by the court. The party who wishes to modify an existing order is required to show a material change in circumstances and conditions from the time of entry of the order sought to be modified.
