Motion for Determination Law and Legal Definition
A motion for determination refers to a formal request for a court to rule on an issue in a case. For example, a motion for determination may be made to request that the court make a finding about a whether probable cause exists or whether a party is entitled to have costs waived based upon a finding of indigency. A motion for determination may be used for a wide variety of requests for different types of rulings.
