Movables Law and Legal Definition
The term 'movables' refers to personal movable property coming under civil law. It includes any property that can be moved from one location to another. Movable properties are annexed to the person of the owner. It includes inanimate objects capable of being moved by extraneous powers.
Movables include:
(1) things that can be moved from one place or another; and
(2) materials until they are incorporated into a building. [Prytania Park Hotel, Ltd. v. General Star Indem. Co., 179 F.3d 169, 178 (5th Cir. 1999)].
