Murorum Operatio Law and Legal Definition
Murorum operatio is a Latin term. It means the repair work done to strengthen buildings, cities, or castles, by their inhabitants. The personal service of such workers was commuted into a money payment by the tenants, called murage. Some persons were exempted form the duty by special privilege. Officers supervising the work are known as murengers.
