Pallio Cooperire Law and Legal Definition
Pallio cooperire is a Latin term which means “to cover with a pallium”. It is used in the context of marriage of persons who already have a child together before their marriage. The pallium is a veil or cover over the bride which extended to cover the illegitimate child also. The removal of the pallium at the wedding was deemed to change the status of the child to legitimate.
