Papal Law Law and Legal Definition
Papal law means canon law. It is body of Roman ecclesiastical law that was not compiled until the 12th to 14th century. Since then, it has grown and now is codified in the Codex Juris Canonici of 1983. It is also known as corpus juris canonici, or jus canonicum.
