Paraphilia Law and Legal Definition
Paraphilia is a public order crime which involves a sexual behavior that is considered as abnormal. For example, voyeurism which means spying on another for sexual pleasure, or pedophilia which means sexual desire involving children are the different forms of paraphilia. The term paraphilia was coined by Wilhelm Stekel in the 1920s. Later the term got popularized as a nonpejorative designation for unusual sexual interests.
