Paraprofessional Child and Adolescent Mental Health Worker Law and Legal Definition
Paraprofessional child and adolescent mental health worker means a health service professional who serves growing population of children with mental health needs and their families. They are not mental or behavioral health service professionals.

According to 42 USCS § 295p (24), the term "paraprofessional child and adolescent mental health worker" means an individual who is not a mental or behavioral health service professional, but who works at the first stage of contact with children and families who are seeking mental or behavioral health services, including substance abuse prevention and treatment services.
